Gundam Mid Year Challenge 2009

Gundam 00 is the latest Gundam TV show in 2009 (it's already end showing in Japan) and the SD Sangoku-Den also very hit now. So this year's Mid Year Challenge theme is Gundam 00 & SD Sangoku-Den.

Not much entries this year but most of them are quite high standard. It's not surprise since a lot of the people will concentrate the year end competition - BAKUC. I've took some pictures of the entries and events. Sorry for the blur pictures :P

Continued from SIC Vol. 7 - Masked Rider No. 1 & Shocker Rider (Part 1)


This Masked Rider 1 is from the Kikaider 00 series thus the box there printed "Kikaider 00" instead of "Masked Rider" (I'm not really too sure bout this, can some SIC pro enlighten me ?? ^_^)



I don't have the old vol. 7 so I can't compare it on the painting.
The painting gives me the dark side feeling except the helmet.
The helmet color too fresh and it looks a bit unmatch with the flat and dark color scheme on the body.



Stand
SIC Vol. 1 - 10 is more like a statue than action figure.
So each of them has a unique stand which most of the later released SIC lack.
Vol. 7 stand is the wounded Spider Man (not the one from the west).
KR 1 will pose as stepping on the poor Spider Man

Articulation
The only moving point of this SIC is its arm and head.
Most of the new SIC collectors collect SIC is because the KR has cool design and it's articulated.
That's why a lot of people skip this vol. because it's almost-fixed-pose.

Artificial hair ??
I'm surprised to know that it has artificial hair at the back.
Why Bandai willing to add these realistic details on the old SIC, but the details getting less for the new SIC ?? =_=



Hidden Face
The helmet's mouth piece can be opened to reveal the face inside the helmet.
Too bad the helmet can't be taken off because it just has the face and not a full human head



Inside the chest
The front chest armor can be taken off to reveal.... of course not the naked breast lah :P.
Inside the chest is some details of the KR 1 organs structure.
Tou can put on the diecast heart and chest bones which comes with the package for KR1
